Vineyard 36 sources fruit from an incredible line-up of hand-picked vineyards in across the central ‘band’ of Napa Valley: from the Renteria 360 Vineyard in Eastern Oakville, the Rivett Vineyard in the west of the AVA, and Oakville Ranch overlooking them both from the slopes of the Vaca Mountains. Further north, the famed F Block of Andy Beckstoffer’s George III Vineyard brings unmistakable intensity and structure.
Vineyard 36 takes an ultra-modern look at Napa Valley, founded by two legendary NHL players and a veteran Napa vintner. The team is pioneering a line-up of fantastic new vineyards and boasts some of the most stunning bottles you’ll ever see!

Winemaker Keith Emerson has more than 20 years of experience in fine wine production. He is one of the few winemakers who excels in crafting both Bordeaux and Burgundian varieties and produces wines from Napa, Sonoma, Oregon and Santa Cruz.
In 2005, Emerson joined Napa’s Vineyard 29 as Director of Winemaking where he oversees all wine programs for Vineyard 29’s ultra-premium custom crush clientele, managing wine production for prestigious producers including Vineyard 36. He joined Vineyard 36 as Director of Winemaking in 2017, charged with managing and directing the production of the portfolio. He holds a B.S. in Enology and Viticulture degree from University of California, Davis.

V36 Foundation

A Right Bank Bordeaux inspired wine with a merlot base and a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon.
​
This blend produces a merlot of extraordinary density, with rich, chewy tannins. Holding the promise of a long evolution in bottle. It is balanced, juicy and approachable. Foundation is aged in 40% new thin staved 22mm tight grain French oak Taransaud barrels.

V36 Black Aces
​
The dark label of our Black Aces bottle represents the strength, determination, and perseverance of the Black Aces who silently support each NHL team, always ready to jump in at a moment’s notice for the team’s greater good. This wine behind the label is a blend of several world-class Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards from Oakville and Rutherford. When they all come together in synergy, effortlessly blending the expected with the unexpected, they produce a balanced win that everyone can celebrate.

“Every legend has a legacy. Every wine has a story to tell”
To pay homage to those significant nights in both Cam & Tim’s first NHL games - we decided that this distinctive wine deserved a significant name. In those moments “The King’s Storm” was born - combining “King” from Tim’s first team, LA King’s and “Hurricanes” (AKA Storm) from Cam’s - this illustrious wine now takes a prominent name in our collection. Important, Impressive, Integral. The King’s Storm is created from our story, with a desire for you to spark many stories of your own.

Our mysterious Oakville Ranch label changes with every new year, every passing season. It represents the importance of the night sky in our lengthy wine-making process. It highlights the magic that happens each time the sun sets on another day in Napa Valley. As the stars shine bright across our vineyards, the feeling of progress and change is tangible. The idea that night is as necessary as the day is a lesson we can all learn from.

Our Five Bands label is subtle yet sophisticated. Just like the Stanley Cup it pays tribute
to, it’s a simple silver label that drives a deeper meaning for every person who encounters its true character. Its real worth comes into focus only when it rests in the right hands. Superior by nature, it needs little explanation to be understood by knowing eyes.

Poetry is orchestrated when we acknowledge and understand what makes perfection. A 50/50 blend from Oakville Ranch Vineyard. Cabernet Sauvignon vs. Cabernet Franc.
