Raymond Signorello Sr. and his son, Raymond Jr, founded Signorello Vineyards in 1985. The are producers of estate grown and produced varietals including Seta, a proprietary blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc; Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. Signorello's Padrone is dedicated to Ray Signorello Sr. who passed away in 1998, a visionary whose dreams became a reality in the wines at Signorello. The grapes used for this Bordeaux blend are sourced from an extemely rocky portion of the estate vineyards yeilding a mere 1.5 tons per acre. The 1999 Padrone is a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 8.5% Cabernet Franc and is fitting tribute to the life of Ray Signorello Sr. - the Padrone.

WINES
S by Ray Signorello
S by Ray Signorello was motivated by a longing to work with fruit from areas beyond the boundaries of the singular Signorello Estate Vineyard in southern Napa Valley. Ray and winemaker Priyanka French were intrigued by prestigious and diverse appellations such as Howell Mountain, Rutherford, and St. Helena, with a vision to produce a modern, plush, and ultimately crowd-pleasing Cabernet Sauvignon. The label creation for S was inspired by the simplicity and elegance of Ray’s heirloom monogrammed cufflinks, given to him by his father, Ray Sr., the visionary co-founder of Signorello Estate.

The Winemaker

With the introduction of S in the portfolio of Wines by Ray Signorello, we are excited to present our unique appreciation for the essence of Napa Valley by sourcing fruit from distinctive vineyards that are farmed with the same ethos as we farm our estate vineyards. We chose prestigious vineyard sites across various appellations, allowing us to produce a wine that is expressive yet approachable upon release, which makes it ideal for restaurant wine lists and at an accessible price point for wine aficionados.”

Signorello Estate Padrone Cabernet Sauvignon

Rich, dynamic and concentrated, “Padrone” Cabernet Sauvignon is a striking wine. This vibrant, dense Cabernet is packed with black cherry, red and black currant, plum and blueberry jam. This stunning bouquet is wonderfully nuanced with licorice, menthol, lavender and dark chocolate. Opulent and big bodied, the mid-palate is weighted leading into a vibrant finish of tobacco leaf, herbal tea, and mocha. Deeply textured with exceptional balance, this wine will reveal so much more in the years to come.

Signorello Estate Hope’s Cuvee Chardonnay

The Hope’s Cuvee Chardonnay is a bright, vibrant expression of the Chardonnay fruit from our oldest estate block. Rich, generous and full bodied, the wine strikes at you right from the first note. The nose greets you with grilled pineapple, juicy mango, honeysuckle, lemon curds, orange blossom and nuanced oak integration. A creamy texture balanced with soft acidity leads to a long, persisting finish of peaches, gooseberries, brioche and toasted nuts. A complex wine that reflects the history of our 40 year old vineyard block, this will leave you enthralled and captivated.
