The majority of our vineyards are on hillsides, some even on very steep slopes. Vineyards planted in water drainage channels are maintained and meticulously tended every year to prevent erosion.

In these vineyards, all farm work is done by hand.

Tillage or cover crops are used in vineyards where mechanization is possible. The vineyard is managed using sustainable pest control methods and everything is done to stimulate the natural defenses of the vines.
Particular attention is paid to controlling yields, either by short pruning, disbudding or green harvesting.
Across the estate, all harvesting is done by hand, and all the grapes take a turn on the sorting table before arriving at the winery.

Domaine de Gry Sablon Morgon

These vines have been in Christine’s family for over 120 years, in the named vineyards or “climats” of Douby. This cuvée boasts a dark crimson robe with purple-blue tints, ripe small fruit and kirsch aromas and fleshy, well-coated tannins. The power of this Morgon is the expression of all the potential of this magnificent terroir.

Domaine de Gry Sablon Beaujolais-Village

Some of the vineyards that give the grapes for this wine date back to the creation of the estate on the commune of Emeringes over a hundred years ago. Dominique’s ingenious grandfather of, Mr. Besson, won a bronze medal at the 1910 Concours Lépine invention competition for the invention of a filter-press. With its spark-shot ruby robe, this wine opens out with fresh red fruit aromas that come through as flavours on the rounded more-ish palate.
An enjoyable wine for any time of day and for any occasion.
