The focus of Arnot-Roberts is to produce distinctive, site-driven wines that highlight the nature of the unique terroirs in which the grapes are grown. The journey to this end has led Duncan and Nathan to seek out vineyards throughout Northern California and now includes incredible sites in Napa Valley, Sonoma Coast, Santa Cruz Mountains, Santa Rita Hills, Clearlake and Sierra Foothills. Single-vineyard wines are the core of the production as well as a few appellation bottlings that clearly speak of their individual upbringings. Some of the vineyards are old and dry-farmed, some are newer plantings but all are farmed and cared for by passionate and conscientious growers, which is paramount to the fundamental goal of Arnot-Roberts: producing the most honest and expressive wines possible.

Arnot-Roberts Wines have shown that California Wine not only can shine at the table but can also express the individuality of the sites they come from. It can age and develop in complexity from post-bottle youthfulness to the glories of a fully mature and harmonious bottle (and everything in-between). These are today's measuring sticks for great and interesting wine, whether from California, or France, Italy, Tasmania, or anywhere that strives to produce quality wine.

WINES

QUE SYRAH VINEYARD Syrah

Que Syrah Vineyard is a true gem on the Sonoma Coast. Que Syrah has already shown strong potential in our cellar and, like the great wines of the Northern Rhone Valley, we look forward to unlocking its riches for years to come as bottles mature in the cellar.

WATSON RANCH Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc

The wines we have made from this planting are vibrantly aromatic and loaded with spicy, briary fruit, offering a unique expression of the variety in the Napa Valley.

BARSOTTI VINEYARD Gamay Noir, Poulsard

We feel strongly that Barsotti is proving itself as a brilliant terroir to grow the Gamay grape and we look forward to many more years of working with Ron Mansfield and his son Chuck to produce wines of distinctive personality from the magic combination of Gamay and Granite.

SOLAS VINEYARD Syrah

“Solas” is a Gaelic word meaning comfort, and is the name given to one of the oldest Syrah vineyards in Sonoma County. The variety of genetic material on the property helps to add layers of different flavor and complexity to the resulting wine. Solas forms the backbone of our Sonoma Coast appellation Syrah and we are fortunate to work with such pristine fruit, year in and year out.
